Sydney Sweeney made her first public appearance following news of her split from Jonathan Davino, stepping out to introduce The Housemaid at CinemaCon. And, um, her outfit? A literal wedding dress (it's technically a corset and skirt) straight off a bridal mood board. The look comes from Wiederhoeft, and yep...it's featured in their bridal collection.
I mean...hard not to read into this choice considering Sydney just called off her own wedding.
News of Sydney and Jonathan's split broke on Monday, with a source telling Us Weekly that Sydney was “telling friends she is single.”
"She's exactly where she wants to be," another insider told People. "Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She's all about working right now and very excited about all her projects. What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding. She didn't feel right about it. She's not ready to settle down. They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn't split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now."
Meanwhile, an Us Weekly source claims Sydney and Jonathan's issues stemmed from "Sydney being extremely busy with work commitments." As they put it, "Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together. Things are also always tense between them when she is promoting a movie because she has to give her full attention to the project, and people always speculate about their relationship and Sydney being close to her costars. It’s a tough dynamic for Jonathan."
